July 8, 2026Wow! Just Playing Dixieland performed at the Dare County Library in Kill Devil Hills as a performer for the 2026 Summer Reading Program. Children and families had an awesome time dancing to the music, and the program included fun facts about music history, an introduction to the instruments, and bead necklaces! The music selection was a lot of fun, especially "Hello Dolly" and "We Are The Dinosaurs, Marching, Marching!" Thank you for bringing live music to the library!

The original and only Dixieland band on the Outer Banks, NC! We feature Trumpets, Trombones, Saxes, and Clarinet with a rhythm section including drums, tuba, keyboard, and banjo. It makes for old timey fun that everybody can enjoy, even if they don't know old times tunes.
For larger venues we would use your sound system. For small and medium sized venues we bring everything we need except an electrical outlet. Just give us space (and electric) and we will make fun happen!
