J.R. Williams is a Myrtle Beach-based stand-up comedian, host, and live event entertainer who turns marriage, parenting, family chaos, work, and everyday frustration into sharp, relatable comedy. A father of five and husband who is barely supervised, J.R. brings high-energy storytelling and crowd-friendly humor to comedy clubs, private parties, fundraisers, resorts, breweries, corporate events, and festivals. JR Wiliams hates you and your kids.
It’s not his fault. Parenting is hard, and people make mistakes, such as giving kids ridiculous names and letting them grow mohawks. He’s made mistakes too, but his mistakes are a lot funnier than yours.
Whether he is talking about tea-parties, what is or is not a swear word or which kid is his favorite, he always generates big laughs from the crowd. He may consider himself an “Everyday Dad”, but he is far from conventional. His show is chock-full of witty one-liners, hilarious true stories and twisted observations. He vents about the hardships of being married with a slew of kids. Even if you don’t have children of your own, you can definitely feel his pain.
Yes, he may be sarcastic and a touch immature, but audiences wouldn’t want it any other way. Have no doubt, if JR Williams is on the stage, you are going to leave in stitches.
He has been seen at clubs and venues across America as well as, Gilda’s Laughfest and the Traverse City Winter Comedy Festival. He has opened for great comics like Bill Engvall, Brad Williams and Mitch Fatel.
