I am a solo guitarist. My specialty is instrumental arrangements of popular tunes.
I play a wide variety of music and can structure my show to fit the audience.
I love doing requests. What ever the audience wants I am happy to play.
Joe helped me by learning some songs for me to sing to my future fiancée. He made time to practice and was on time for the event. His playing was beautiful and made our event truly special.
Joe the Guitarman was prompt, easy to work with, funny, and above all an excellent musician with a wide range of material and an ear for what the audience would most appreciate hearing. We are 100% happy with his performance and recommend him without reservation.
What to Expect
An experienced guitarist that takes requests, tells jokes, and gets the audience involved. Or I can play background music for your party or event. House parties are one of my favorite gigs.
I am 63 years young and have been playing guitar since I was 5. I enjoy all forms of popular music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and newer music as well. I like telling jokes and audience participation songs.
I play both electric and acoustic guitar (not at the same time).
I studied music at Indiana University with the famous Jamey Aebersold, but I do not play much jazz.
I currently have over 100 videos on YouTube, and 59 original recordings available on iTunes and Amazon.
Additional Booking Notes
I travel light. I have a small sound system. I bring an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar and amplifier.
Lights and large sound system is the responsibility of the client.
