James A.R. Anderson

James Arthur Robert Anderson is a stand out American Stand-up Comedian, Writer and Actor based out of New York City.

Raised in Columbus, Ohio ,Anderson recalls telling jokes since he was at the bus stop going to elementary school but did not began jumping on stages until 2010. In 2014 James moved to New York City to pursue his entertainment dreams, leaving behind a career as an Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit at JPMorgan Chase. Since then, he has groomed his own brand of comedy with his trademark intuitive observations and personal experiences that connect to college students, audiences in renowned comedy clubs and even churches.

In his years of performing he has shared the stage with comedians such as Janeane Garafalo, Gary Owen, and Michael Blackson to name a few. Anderson is said to draw his influences from comedians such as Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jamie Foxx and Roy Wood Jr. In 2017, Anderson released his second Stand Up Comedy EP, Carpe Noctem. Produced and Written by Anderson, the project was a collection of material recorded at various venues in New York and Ohio.

Anderson has been seen on ABC’s Good Morning America 3 and NBC’s Peacock TV app show ‘EX-RATED’.
