I am an award-winning teacher, speaker, writer and stand-up comedian with a social media following of over 300, 000. I have been writing humor columns for over 20 years, but on stage is where I really shine. I love interviewing people on stage and keeping a show going, but I equally enjoy telling stories on stage and doing stand-up. I am able to adjust to whatever is needed for me to do. On stage I have done everything from riding in on a live horse to wearing ridiculous costumes to rapping.
I have been teaching high school for 17 years, with national accolades including runner-up to National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year. Over that time, I have also been emceeing many events and doing stand-up. My forte is keeping a show going with improv, and I have done so with great success. Whether it's spontaneously breakdancing or coming up with jokes to get the crowd involved, I will do whatever it takes for a show to succeed (while keeping it classy in the process). One show that I have emceed for the past decade, essentially a version of "Dancing with the Stars" has raised one million dollars. I am also very active on social media, with a Twitter following of over 330,000, and am a published author.
