August 9, 2016Nat'l Night Out
On Aug. 2,2016 the band played at my apartments in an outdoor celebration honoring the police & firemen in the town of Puyallup. It was a 4 piece band. The song selection was excellent, they were on time and performed till the last person left. They specialized in Celtic music but mixed it up with plenty of oldies and folk music to satisfy us all. I would highly recommend this group for your next function . You can't go wrong.

About
I have been performing since the 6th grade, and singing since the 8th grade. I started to learn how to play the drums in the 5th grade, and picked up the guitar when I was 17, and I have been playing and singing for people ever since.
My musical background is very eclectic. I grew up in the late 50s through the 60s listening to Country Western music on the radio when I was young, then graduating to Rock & Roll in 1962. My mother was a huge Benny Goodman fan, so there was a mix of Swing & Jazz, as well as MGM musicals. Both sets of grandparents were Celtic so there was that influence as well. I got hooked on Classical music while watching Warner Brothers cartoons.
I've studied music in High School and University, as well as what I could pick up in various venues and bands that I've performed in. There always seems to be something more to learn.

Influences and inspiration
Since I grew up during the same time as Rock & Roll, as well as the Folk revival of the early sixties, my influences are many and varied. However, my main influences were my parents. My father was a truck driver and was partial to Country & Western music, but he also liked to listen, and dance, to Swing. My mother was very eclectic in her musical tastes. She liked Swing and Country & Western too, but also liked Caruso and Show tunes, as well as Elvis and Buddy Holly.
I listened to a lot of AM Top Forty radio growing up, and saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964. I became a big fan of The Monkees, The Beach Boys, The Turtles, and many more. If they were popular during the sixties... I probably listened to them.
