Hi! I’m a professional saxophonist and flutist based in Springfield, MO, offering high-quality live music for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and more. I currently teach jazz lessons at Missouri State University while pursuing my master’s degree, and regularly perform on the Branson circuit.

February 17, 2023My wife and I are turned off by the classic DJ-with-a-MacBook configuration, so we hired Drew through a colleague of mine and received way more than we expected! He built his band around our favorite songs and music genres and even arranged a special song for my wife and I to dance to. The majority of our guests all said something about the band afterwards: “amazing song selection”, “very professional”, and “perfect atmosphere” were what we heard most. Drew was very professional from the get-go. He sent me a professional offer sheet, outlining what I could expect, followed by a signed agreement. The day of, he followed through on our agreement and thus made sure we had one less thing to manage on our big day. To anyone who wants a special kind of wedding atmosphere, hire Drew and he’ll create the soundtrack to one of the most special days of your life!

February 15, 2023I have had the good fortune to play in numerous bands with Drew. I have also hired him for many corporate gigs. Besides being a great player, he is a professional when you hire him. He shows up on time, is prepared and is easy to work with.

I’ve been playing saxophone since I was 12 years old in seventh grade. I soon discovered jazz and decided that I wanted to be able to play it. I started gigging when I was 16, and I was fortunate enough to join many young bands; including the Allstate jazz band, and the All-Stars at Jazz STL.
I went to college at Missouri state university, studying under of Randy Hamm. During my time there getting my Bachelors in Jazz performance, I played in many different local bands; Funk, rock, jazz, as well as playing lead alto all 5 years in the top university ensemble. Some highlights from that time include playing with my idol (Dick Oatts), playing in the All-Collegiate Jazz band under the direction of Tia Fuller, and going on a small tour with my professors in Colombia, South America.
Which brings me to now. I’ve just graduated MSU, and I’m now a full-time working musician. A lot of my work right now is in Branson playing and touring with the esteemed Dean Z: Ultimate Elvis, but my goal this year is to have a lot more local gigs.
