What to expect
I will have open communication with you regarding your event on what your wishes are and what I can provide. We will go over song lists, and I will provide audio samples so you can plan your event with confidence. I will arrive to your event early to tune my instrument to have it sounding it’s best. I will come in traditional Highland dress with several variations depending on how formal your event is.
About
I have been a musician for over 20 years and play a variety of instruments as well as choral experience. In my day job, I am a registered nurse with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. I started playing the bagpipes as a way to honor our nation’s fallen heroes. When a veteran passes away in the medical center, I lead the honor guard that takes the remains from the inpatient unit to the morgue. I also play bagpipes for a variety of ceremonies for active duty military and veterans for the VA throughout the year. As a member of Capital City Pipes and Drums in Columbus, OH, I am an active performer, as well as a group and solo bagpipe competitor.
