Overview
David is a concert guitarist, with a vast amount of performing experience. As a classical and flamenco guitarist, his music ranges from JS Bach to J Rodrigo, with an emphasis on music from Spain and Latin America. His jazz guitar offerings include standards, Bossa Nova, and unique arrangements of client requests. And his singer/songwriter experience includes an array of both original and cover songs.
Offerings include wedding ceremonies & cocktail hours, gatherings & events, holiday occasions, educational performances, memorial services, romantic evenings….
As a singer/songwriter, David and wife Hélène Nicole are the duo "La Vie Ensemble" and perform original work throughout North America

I have heard David play at least twice a year for the past 15 years. He often plays a full recital at the Performing Arts Center in Rhinebeck. David is a celebrated classical guitarist, composer and educator with over 40 years of experience. A graduate of the music school at Eastern Michigan University, he is a founding member of the Mid-Hudson Classical Guitar Society in New York. David has performed extensively as a soloist and an ensemble player, carrying out the mission of presenting concerts full of colour and variety. He has released four albums, including original compositions, original transcriptions, and repertoire spanning five centuries — his original music being used in film, television, and musical theatre. Currently an instructor in his private studio, he has taught guitar, composition, and theory at the Bard Conservatory of music and Friends Central Schools in Pennsylvania.
With a calm, grounded presence and a passion for helping others shine, David brings a deep love of music — and of people — into every note he plays and every workshop and lesson he leads.

In addition to his singing/songwriting duo, David & Hélène, located on Vancouver Island, BC, David Temple is an accomplished classical guitarist. He has performed throughout North America as a soloist and an ensemble player, carrying out the mission of presenting concerts full of color and variety.

He was soloist for the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra's 2019 performance of Rodrigo's "Aranjuez" concerto.
A true believer in the joy of playing guitar, David believes "great music can be played in any level." He is currently available for lessons online and at his home-studio.
David was an instructor of guitar, theory, and composition at Bard Conservatory, Preparatory Division, in New York. Under the tutelage of Dr. Nelson Amos, David graduated from the music school at Eastern Michigan University.
