A national and international leader in employing art and humor in everyday living, Kelly and her red noses have become somewhat of an icon...even as far away as Kofu, Japan.

Her creative and unconventional approach has been woven into her work throughout Kelly’s life; parading across tables as the "human color wheel" while teaching color theory to her 7th grade art classes and later weaving creativity throughout the Lt. Governor’s Committee on Diversity conference while employeed by the Iowa Arts Council.

Kelly founded pARTners Unlimited statewide arts programming in 2001, a non-profit that transformed lives through the creative arts in Iowa prisons and in schools and youth facilities. Kelly helped program participants develop self-worth giving them belief in themselves to live their dreams.

After discovering the "fun" in dysfunction with pARTners Unlimited... and becoming deeply moved by the impact the arts had on working with children and adults who've experienced severe trauma in life, Kelly realized how this could benefit ALL populations and the need for each of us to develop a stronger sense of self-worth, so CHAOS was born!

Kelly teaches teachers how to engage youth and decrease bullying, helps staff discover hidden talents in themselves and each other and guides us in learning how to de-stress, to remove toxic behaviors from our lives. When we learn how to laugh at ourselves, we take control of our lives and begin to appreciate others through new perspectives!

Educational, corporate, and healthcare institutions including; Madison County Healthcare System, University of Northern Iowa, Senior Expo, PMI - (Project Managers Institute), Iowa F-H, DECA (Emerging high school leaders and entrepreneurs) and IAWP (International Association of Workforce Professionals) have all been seen wearing red clown nOses and are among many who have embraced a little CHAOS by choosing HAPPINESS as a way of life.

Kelly believes in taking herself lightly and her work seriously. As a professional artist she is developing a new portrait exhibit highlighting Iowa women who are RISING after overcoming major obsticals in thier lives. She continues to work as an artist in residence with high-risk populations and although she loves a good laugh, CHAOS has a very important purpose both individually and collectively.

Seriously, Kelly invites us to choose forgiveness and healing through the PEARL Project, People Engaging in the Arts Rejoicing in Life. This is a global opportunity to join Kelly as we UNITE humanity in PEACE and LOVE. Twelve PEARL Ceremonies are gathering - three locations in each direction of the world, uniting us together to co-create a world of plenty, with integrity, harmony and reverence for each other and for our earth; a world living together in peace (with lots of laughter and fun!)
