Belly Dance & Bollywood with Samira

It's showtime! We know that sometimes events don't go quite as planned. An extra 15-20 minutes grace time is built into my rates so you don't stress!
The basic belly dance show is 20-25 minutes. Typical Bollywood show is 20 minutes. Our conversation will start from there.
Belly dance props/songs I specialize in: Intro, beledi, saidi, veil, finger cymbals, sword, candle tray, Egyptian classic, Iraqi Kawliya, Karshilama, audience participation and more. I also happily incorporate Persian, Indian, Afghani, Latin or other kinds of songs into my performance.
For Bollywood I usually start with an older song and end with new and upbeat songs. Making YOUR family and guests feel special is an incredibly important part of my work.

- After my show I can stay around a little while for pictures. So, while a show is typically 20-25 minutes, I'm usually on the floor 30 or so.
- Rates for BellyDance are usually around $375-$550 in the DMV.
- For Bollywood around $400-$600.
- A typical lesson with a show is a 45 minute lesson followed by a 20 minute show. The rates for that kind of event start at $550.
I am typically a solo performer, but I can arrange other top quality belly dancers with me. They charge the same rates I do.

- Do you have a DJ? I'll need their contact info so I can get my music to them.
- No DJ? We'll talk on the phone to determine your needs. Most often I connect my iPod to a bluetooth speaker system that you have. I also have small speakers I can bring for a smaller room.
- If you want me to dance with candle tray we need to check with the venue, as I use real candles.
- I will need a place to finish changing into my costume and safely store my things.
