Annette takes great pride in her storytelling and is a true leader. She is a well-balanced journalist with 15 years of experience. She has worked as a producer, reporter and anchor in markets ranging from Cincinnati, Ohio to Jackson, MS. Her most recent role prior to Myrtle Beach was a Weekend Anchor for Local 24 News in Memphis, TN. Annette has facilitated nationally recognized interviews throughout her career. She interviewed the late Congressman John Lewis in 2011 as a reporter in Jackson, MS and former UN Ambassador Andrew Young during the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She also interviewed Civil Rights Icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., Alice Marie Johnson who was granted clemency by President Trump in 2018, and Elizabeth Smart, a survivor of a child abduction, who now serves as an advocate for missing persons. One of her most memorable interviews was with the late Chadwick Boseman for the movie Get On Up. She received an Emmy nomination for her piece on Stax Records Recording studio in 2020. Annette is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She’s also a member of the Conway Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and has emceed several community service events in her community. She takes pride in her community work and enjoys mentoring young journalists.
