Alex Peden - Bagpiper

Alex was very accommodating! He performed a special song that wouldn't usually be played on the bagpipes, and he played some traditional songs as well. It set the mood for our family as we celebrated our departed loved one. I hope to use Alex in the future, as I really appreciated his professional dedication.

I didn’t give Alex much advance notice, as I messaged him June 30th for a July 3rd funeral service for my father.
He responded quickly and was very professional.
I requested the songs, “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”. Alex did not know the latter song but researched it before hand and knew he would be able to play it for us. It was overwhelming that he could provide my request. I felt very at ease with him.
He played very beautifully and made it feel very poignant.
My father would be proud to know that he received one request, that he did not voice much. I’m sure he was up there looking down on us Alex and feeling pleased. 🙏

Alex piped several times during our wedding ceremony and was exceptional! He was a pleasure to deal with as we coordinated his role piping in the bride and her father, playing during the ceremony and piping our guests out. Alex suggested tunes and took our requests as well and played all magnificently! Alex elevated our wedding ceremony and created wonderful memories for all!

Alec communicated with me all along the planning process and arrived on time. He not only played the songs that my Scottish husband loves, he let him have a go at trying the pipes!
Alec also answered all our questions about the history of the pipes, learning to play them, how Winnipeg weather impacts on them.

We hired Alex to play at my brothers funeral service. He played As the family and mourners walked from the chapel to the gravesite and also at the gravesite. It made his service very special and memorable. I’d recommend Alex highly.
