March 18, 2025Jon flew international to make our wedding parade special!
My wife (Panamanian) and I (Michigan) recently wed in her beautiful home country of Panamá. It was important to us that both of our cultural backgrounds were represented on our special day. On my side, that meant honoring a long family tradition of bagpipes, and the challenge of international travel.
Jon was great start to finish - very attentive, professional, and talented. He performed a recession march to lead us out of the church and continued on outside as we welcomed our guests into the street where the fun part comes in - an outdoor parade to the venue hall. We had this crazy idea to team Jon up with local hand drummers to perform a cultural mashup and he was game for it! Jon not only flew international for us, but navigated language barriers and took time to practice with the drummers ahead of the ceremony. The parade was a hit and we are incredibly grateful - Thank you!
If you’re looking for a piper that’s a master of their craft, and if you require some creativity in your plans, you can count on Jon!

July 2, 2024The Perfect Tribute
My father was a proud Scotsman who dreamed of having bagpipes play at his funeral. Thanks to Jon’s masterful performance, we were able to honor Dad’s wishes with world-class style and tremendous heart. After the pastor gave the benediction, Jon -authentic pipes and kit- played Flowers of the Forest and Amazing Grace to close out the beautiful service. There wasn’t a dry eye in the church. Jon Lehman was professional, accommodating, sensitive to the family and warmly personable in a way that added so much to the memorial. I am very grateful to him. I would highly recommend his services to anyone wishing to upgrade their gathering!!

June 2, 2024Hands down the best
My grandpa passed a week ago unexpectedly. He had always wanted bag pipes to play amazing grace at his funeral. We didn’t have all the money for everything so we just decided to throw the memorial in his front yard. Jon assured me the location did not matter that it would be a flawless. He kept in touch all the way up to the event. Everything was hassle free on his end. Jon not only did a flawless and phenomenal job on the bag pipes, but the best I’ve EVER heard taps played! Afterwards everyone commented on how well he played taps. He was over an hour early and very attentive to detail. He didn’t just do his minimum job. He went above and beyond the wishful standard! After the service he took the time in full uniform, high heat, and humidity to stop and meet us and hug us answered everyone’s questions. Made it real personable experience! I can not recommend Ozark bagpiper enough! Thank you for everything Jon! Best wishes to you and all your future endeavors!

Justin, it was truly an honor to perform for your grandfather‘s funeral. He was obviously a great man, and a Navy veteran serving our country on the exact same ship that my grandfather served on. It’s always a true honor to meet the family and to do what we can to honor and celebrate the service of a veteran. You should be proud, you did a great job orchestrating the event yourself, and your family as well. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Jon ☘️

Additional booking notes
The bagpipes are loud enough to be heard without the need for amplification equipment, unless the auditorium seats more than 1,000 people. Lighting preferences are at the discretion of the event planner. For indoor performances, I generally use tone enhancers, which make the volume slightly more tolerable indoors.

Influences and inspiration
I've spent a considerable amount of time in Scotland, Ireland and Great Britain. My travels there have focused on authentic Scottish performance styles, as well as Irish performance styles and Celtic nuance. The Celtic music I truly love and perform is usually somewhat well known in the US, however I am always open to client requests as long as they are playable on the Bagpipes. I must say that every time I visit Ireland and Scotland, my heart tugs at me as I’m driving back to the airport to come back to America. If I had it my way, I would just stay 🍀
Setup requirements
