July 11, 2023We had hired Adam previously a few years ago to play for my Mom's 100th birthday. Several days ago, we engaged him to play for her memorial service. She passed away at 102. She was a combat nurse in WWII and afforded a military service. Mom was also the daughter of a Scottish immigrant and regarded all things Scottish as a deep part of her heritage. Adam played both at the service and again at the interment. He was prepared, skilled, inspiring and easy to communicate with beforehand. He is an outstanding musician and a real gentleman. Thank you, Adam, for making Mom's send-off so meaningful.

I make an effort to talk with my clients about what they want and expect from my performance. Typical performances can range from 1-2 tunes, depending on the occasion - playing a bridal processional/recessional for a wedding, "Amazing Grace" at a funeral home or graveside, or playing on and off over a specified amount of time for a longer event like a party or race.
I started learning the bagpipes in 1998 under the instruction of former Black Watch pipe-major Sandy Hain.
Since then, I played several years with the Red Hackle Pipes & Drums out of Cleveland, OH, including numerous pipe competitions at various highland games, parades, and competed in the World Championships at Grade IV in 1999.
I moved to west Michigan in 2004, and have been playing solo ever since.
