Overview
An unconventional fresh take on the "acoustic singer-songwriter"- never the same set twice. I’m always striving to reach that one person who stops to say, “Wow! Is he really playing that song? I haven’t heard that in years!”

What to expect
I'm not your stereotypical solo acoustic act.
I don't play the same old boring songs that you've heard a million times, i.e. 'Brown-Eyed Girl'.
I do cover popular musicians, however I tend towards their least known songs, or their arrangements of other musicians' songs. For example; I play the Dave Matthews Band version of 'All Along the Watchtower' as opposed to the Dylan or Hendrix version.
I also have a number of my own originals that I like to scatter though my sets.
I have over 400 songs in my repertoire, my sets can be long and I NEVER have the need to repeat a song to fill time.
About
HI! My name is Adam Chittum.
A longtime hobbyist, I finally came to the public stage only 10 years ago at the ripe old age of 35. Starting in coffee houses and bars, I quickly gained confidence and found my voice by hosting an open mike at a trendy downtown Bentonville, Arkansas eatery. After relocating back to the Kansas City area, I found my niche in the booming farmers’ market scene around town. Now, I'm ready for the next chapter here in Fort Worth.
I believe my approach on the “acoustic cover artist” is pleasantly surprising to most folks. Never one to give in to what’s popular in music, I try to stay true to my roots and play a variety of covers from some of music’s most important artists. (EX: Phish, Grateful Dead, Leonard Cohen, Pearl Jam, and John Prine; as well as traditional spirituals, folk and Americana.)
Unconventionally fresh, never the same set twice, I’m always striving to reach that one person who stops to say, “WOW! Is he really playing that song? I haven’t heard that in years!”
The moment you hear my first song of the set, you'll see, feel, and hear my dedication and passion for the music and the show.
Additional booking notes
I need access to an electrical outlet. My set up is very simple. One person, one mic, and one amp. (Although sometimes, much to my wife's chagrin, I bring too many guitars)

Set list
My set list varies wildly from show to show, especially if I'm returning to your location. I do not like to repeat songs.
You can almost guarantee that you'll hear variations on songs such as All Along the Watchtower written by Bob Dylan and made famous by Jimi Hendrix.
I try to individualize each gig, i.e. featuring songs by Leonard Cohen after his death; or songs about rain if it's a rainy day; or war-protest songs depending on the political climate of the season, etc.
I play songs from the 1960s as well as songs from the 21st Century with the same passion and reverence they deserve.
You will be pleasantly surprised with each selection, almost like a "mix tape" sort of feeling where you never know what is coming next.
