Valerie is a very talented actor/teacher/mentor. She came and spoke to our kids at Youth Vision Builders Inc. in McDonough, GA and had everyone's undivided attention. She shared her experience, strength, and hope, and then told the kids what it takes to be a professional actor in television and film.
She later returned on another visit to teach our young ladies proper etiquette during a Young Ladies Tea Party. I'm always thrilled to have her around. Her high energy and professionalism goes a long way as she keeps you motivated and involved during her entire presentation. I would hire Valerie to come speak to my group over and over again.

Valerie Martin is a motivational speaker, writer, actress, wife, mother, and most importantly: a child of God. She enjoys empowering people to be a better person, spouse, and Christian. Originally from Detroit, MI., she accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in acting. Those close to Valerie have always noticed there was something different about her. She has a warm heart and a passion for helping others. Out of all of her accomplishments, the most important on her list would be aiding others in strengthening their relationship with God. Her amazing testimonies are true examples of what happens when you seek God with all your heart and soul.
Valerie has had her share of turmoil, upsets, and spiritual warfare. In every situation, she relies on her faith and strength from God to pull her through. When she shares her stories, she is often asked how she is so optimistic about her circumstances. She credits her strong belief in the Word, and her proof that the Word is true. "If you believe in the Word, it is really impossible for you to stay down for long. No matter what your situation, there is a scripture that is just for you. I have put this to the test. As long as I never gave up, and kept my faith and focus on God, he has never, ever let me down. Not once! The trick is, we can't let our need to understand get in the way of our real need to trust."
Valerie and her husband married young, against the advice of nay-sayers. No one could possibly understand why she would want to be married at the age of 20, but she knew what God showed her. "Right before I met my husband, I told God I didn't want to meet anyone. All I wanted to do was focus on Him and my career. But when I met my husband 2 months later, I prayed and ask God to show me if he wasn't meant to be with me. But the more I prayed that prayer, the more God showed me how wonderful he was! The only reason why I have such an awesome marriage is because I involved God from the very beginning. That's my secret to marital bliss."
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Valerie has helped many people reach a deeper level in their spirituality. She speaks to married couples, new christian groups, women groups, and young girls. She focuses on God's true intentions for your life and how to walk with Him everyday. "It's not about making everything better, but more about making you better, which ultimately makes everything better!"
