Instrumental surf trio featuring Mark Kuhn, composer/guitarist, performing with 60's style "Go-Go Underground" dancers. Hear the classics and originals, in the style of Dick Dale, Ventures, Pulp Fiction soundtrack. All ages enjoy the surf beat! Very high energy, make-you-wanna-dance music! The girls dance in classic white fringed dresses with white go-go boots or bright neon colored outfits, with stage props or surfing videos to enhance the feel of being in the 60's era. Some performances can be found on YouTube, Myspace, or request a performance video directly.

About

Surf music is all about instrumental guitar, heavy on melody and reverb. Mark Kuhn has studied music composition, can read and write music, ( 3 cds of original compositions as well as several compilations, including Italian label, OmOm Music, featuring surf versions of Burt Bacharach's compositions!) On the West coast, Mark performed with his power trio, Voodoo Court, generating 5 star reviews on Reverb Central from Phil Dirt, surf guru, as well as international reviews from Pipeline Magazine. Now located in the Carolinas, Mark has formed another power trio, The Surf Church, performing with the Go-Go Underground dancers.

The act is lively, colorful, and includes stage props as appropriate with surfing video, surf boards, beach props (beach balls, blankets, etc). the dancers perform in either traditional white fringed go-go dresses with white go-go boots, or bright neon colored coordinated outfits. All dancing is family oriented, high energy fun!

Songs are mainly original works, written by Mark Kuhn, but may include standard favorites, like "Walk Don't Run", "Miserlou", "Pipeline", etc..

All equipment used by the musicians are top performance grade, and unless requested, there are no vocals.

The group performs in 45 minute sets, up to 3 sets.
