Decades Show Band

I have hired many bands for several events and this was rather disappointing. I hate negative writing reviews but despite the leader being a nice guy they were underwhelming and hard to hear in our room.

I booked Decades Show Band entertainment for a "Cruise Week" party for Assisted Living residents; two members of the band played our event. Bear in mind, folks of Assisted Living age tend to say exactly what they think, and I have to go with their opinions when I book entertainment, so that's how I review, as well. During the party, the residents up in the very front were singing along and having fun, but those not at the front row tables had a hard time hearing- microphones would have helped (and my event request did specify this). Afterwards, the feedback I got from residents was that the guys took too long deciding what to play between songs (didn't appear to have a set playlist ready), and the majority of residents said that they wished they would have played more "fun" music and fewer slow songs since it was a party. They did have to start late, but called ahead to explain the situation, and then played longer than scheduled.
