Nocturnal Sol

About

Nocturnal Sol first started out with two members -- Annelise and Seraphina-- in the summer of 2009. Joining forces, these two women held a hunger for fire and together decided to follow their passion. Along the way, Lord Rabbit teamed up with these two ladies in July 2009, followed by Lady Cyn in August of 2009, and Matt Hazard in June of 2010. Not much longer after that, in winter 2010, the group grew still with the members Lenore and Parabole. After years of shows with the six, it was sad to see two members retire from our group: Matt Hazard and Parabole. But their hard work and dedication will always be reflected in our own craft. They may not perform with us any longer, but their contributions will always be appreciated.
However, there is a silver lining. In the future with just the five members, there arose a new face with an exceptional potential. He is yet to be named, but since the Spring of 2012, Nocturnal Sol is pleased to announce its newest member. For now, he shall be referred to as "Brad" until his fire skills give him another name.

The origins of the name "Nocturnal Sol" comes from the great and beautiful mind of Annelise's mother, Ms Suzy. After spending much time assisting, it was chosen that "Nocturnal" of the night and "Sol", the Spanish word for our Sun would complete the name.

Now that your curiosity is satisfied, we ask that you, the respected client, give AT LEAST two weeks' notice before you decide to hire us for a show. This is to give ample time for the performers to prepare an act and gather what needs to be gathered. This is also to ensure that you get exactly what you want without us missing something important (like music and costumes).
If you choose NOT to give us the two weeks' notice, there will be a "late fee" added on to your subtotal. One week's notice is an additional $50. Anything after a week (7 full days) will be raised to $75. Three days before an event will not even be considered. So, choose a date and book at your earliest convenience before your decided date, seeing how we do fill up quickly. We simply want you to have the best show from us.

PLEASE NOTE: The requirements for a public showing are included in your total. They will be the necessary charges for a fire marshall in your county to be present at your event as well as the important permits needed, if you opt out of taking care of it yourself. You can take care of this yourself, however, we would need to see the completed paperwork ONE WEEK BEFORE the day of your event. If we do not see such paperwork for permits and a marshall, your deposit will NOT be refunded, and we are under no obligation to show.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 5 - 60 minutes

The audience will experience fire like never before. It is not something easily explained. It is something one has to see for themselves.

Stage/Setup Requirements:

An Enthusiastic Crowd
Dim Lighting
NO low lying ceilings (indoors for glow ONLY)

Additional Notes:
Despite the fire, we do need some light as to see what we are doing as well as to keep track of where we are during our act. Dim lighting is highly recommended.

Set/Song/Sequence List:
We can tailor a show to fit whatever it is you wish. The show's duration can include us speaking about our specific equipment we use as well as the history of certain crafts (as well as our own if you're interested). So we're fun and educational. If that is not to your liking, we can also cut out the talking and simply perform straight through. We usually have one set, wait for a while so as to we may "catch our breath", then we continue onto our next set. The choice is up to you.
