Having trouble logging in?

It's likely one of three things:

1. Cookies. Try deleting your browser's "cookies"
and make sure you don't have other software or
a firewall blocking them. Also be sure that cookies
are enabled and allowed in your browser for www.gigsalad.com.
Scroll to the bottom of this page to see how
to enable and delete them.

2. AOL. The AOL browser can be problematic for
a wide range of websites, including ours.
If you use an AOL browser, please login using
Internet Explorer or Firefox. (in our opinion Firefox
is the best browser available, and it's free.)

3. Password/email. Be sure you are correctly
typing in your correct email and password. Do not
copy and paste either of these. Rather, type them in
manually into the login form. If you've lost your pw,
use the recovery form above.

If none of these are the issue, please contact us.

Go back to login.

About "Cookies"

What are cookies? A cookie is a message given to a Web browser by a Web server. The browser stores the message in a text file. The message is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

The main purpose of cookies is to identify users. When you enter a Website using cookies, you may be asked to fill out a form providing such information as your name and interests. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser which stores it for later use. The next time you go to the same Web site, your browser will send the cookie to the Web server. The server can use this information to present you with custom Web pages.

Are cookies bad? Cookies do not act maliciously on computer systems. They are merely text files that can be deleted at any time - they are not programs. Cookies cannot be used to spread viruses and they cannot access your hard drive. Cookies cannot read your hard drive to find out information about you; however, any personal information that you give to a Web site, will most likely be stored in a cookie. In only this way are cookies a threat to privacy. The cookie will only contain information that you freely provide to a Web site.

On Gig Salad we use cookies for only one purpose: To store a special session identification number which enables you to login and view members only areas of the website. No other information is ever stored in cookies from GigSalad.com
