Hello to all music lovers across the United States I am Maria Verdell and I am a professional singer/songwriter. I have been in pursuit of the music industry for 11 years now and have decided to give back to those who are seeking entertainment. I sing and write all genres of music and for all ages. I do prefer to keep it edgy/fun/clean. I am available full time at the moment and I also write songs for specific occasions upon request. Services that I also provide are spoken word, poetry, motivational speaking, and song writing assistance. I also have had experience with live bands as a background singer as well as lead. About
Hello event planners. :) My name is Maria Verdell and I am located in Rex Ga but will travel to any part of Atlanta. I write and arrange/record/perform music,(all genres including spoken word). I have interests in motivational speaking. I also provide services to those learning how to write songs, (especially the youth in private or studio environments). If needed, I will learn songs in Spanish. I have previous background singing experience with the Emaru Band and we have worked for the artists Lacee and Calvin Richardson. I have performed in places such as BB Kings in Manhattan New York as a regular cast member. In the event that I am contacted, please give me a minimum of a week's notice so that I may perfect and provide what you are asking for. Influences
The acts that influences me are various artist and live bands. To name a few from different genres: Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles, Katy Perry, Earth, Wind,and Fire, Lenny Williams, Whitney Houston, and Alanis Morissette and many many more... All Genres!!!
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 120 - 240 minutes
When it comes to performances I only ask that I have at least an hour of time to do a mike check before the event begins which includes a short run through the songs. If possible it would be ideal to see the venue ahead of time so that I rehearse the performance according to the venue size. I will bring backing tracks with me and will dress/look the part. If a band is provided, I will make time for the rehearsals. Again as I mentioned in my bio, I just ask that I am notified ahead of time to prepare the best performance possible. My website is currently being prepared for promotion purposes and will continue to notify this page of its progress often. I will agree to arrange an audition for the planner for quality purposes which also allows me to collect payment prior to the performance upon agreement.( I will also provide services as a background singer.)

Additional Notes:
I normally do not bring any equipment with me except the music (cds/performance tracks). I have limited equipment at times and if notified early enough, I may be able to supply certain things. I prefer the lighting to be determined upon arrival to the mike check if possible. If not, it is not a problem. I will only mention things that may add to the performance.
Set/Song/Sequence List:
Set lists are made uniquely for each performance and will not be determined until the persons requesting service have discussed the event. Keep in mind that I sing all genres...
