Why hire Keys of Joy ~ Ben Adams?
My name is Ben and music is my passion and joy. I have been playing piano since the age of 6, but I also play acoustic guitar. A live piano or acoustic guitar can add such a pleasant atmosphere to a wedding ceremony, reception, or any event. Live instruments can also bring visual appeal to the occasion.
I can play both by ear or by note, so if you have a special request for your event, I can probably learn it. You never know until you ask!! I look forward to talking with you!
About
I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old. Starting out on my Mom's accordion, I received professional music lessons on trumpet during the sixth grade, but piano and guitar have been my passions. In my musical history, I have played with Moe Better Blues, Seven 7 Band, Riverside Praise Team, The Liberty Band, and several churches.
Recently, I have been concentrating more on weddings and special events as well as giving piano lessons. I play primarily by ear, but I am able to read music to learn new pieces.
I also provide Wedding Reception and Special Event DJ Services. I have a vast collection of tasteful music on my computer and can provide background music for most events. I can also serve as the Wedding Announcer for the reception or Father/Daughter dance as needed.
My influences are too many to name, but I favor Acoustic, Reggae, Jazz, and Blues. Since I play by ear, I have flexibility and can play most requests given after I have heard them several times. I think that is one of my biggest strong-points.
Many people ask if I am able to sing. As you can see from the pictures, I often duo with others and I do occasionally sing, but I have a limited range. So, what is your favorite song?

Some of my influences include icons like Elton John, Bette Meddler, and The Judds. I also enjoy mirroring the works of Alex Goot, Adele, Alicia Keys, and Carrie Underwood.

Whether it is sitting down and listening to the melodies from the piano or if it is waltzing on the dance floor to the latest tunes, you can expect to be entertained.

I do have my own Full-Size keyboard, 400 Watt Sound System, and small mixer. Besides playing the piano, I have a wide selection of music that I can play for receptions and special events.
