Good Ole Country Music at it's Finest!
I saw this whole band at an event recently and was blown away by their authentic sound. Fans of REAL country music (back in the days when country WAS country) will appreciate the real thing and THIS band, especially Mr. Silvers, IS indeed the REAL THING. His take on the Johnny Cash stuff is awesome - just like the original! It says on his bio that he knew Johnny Cash and there is no doubt he was influenced by Cash's style. I don't think he has to even TRY to be or act like the late Johnny Cash - he just IS!
They did mostly covers but a few originals that Mr. Silvers wrote himself, which were impressive! His history as a Nashville songwriter shines through! I wish the radio stations would play more of this genre but if you have a chance to catch these guys anywhere or hire them for anything, or just Mr. Silvers, be prepared for some kick-ass country like it used to be and somebody who feels like, acts like and sounds like Johnny Cash - for real!
