About
Jacklyn A. Belmonte, Musical Director, has performed professionally throughout Connecticut and New York and her experience spans genres from church music to musical theatre to opera to choral to orchestral. Jackie attended Hartt School of Music where she designed the first musical theatre curriculum at Hartt in conjunction with the University of Hartford Drama department. Jackie went on to earn her degree from Manhattanville College, where she studied piano, conducting, and music history. For her senior thesis, Jackie wrote, cast, rehearsed, directed, and accompanied the first “all music” presentation entitled “Autumn In New York -- a musical journey”.
Jackie has conducted numerous pit orchestras and musical theatre casts for Regional Theatre including The Old Place in Hartford, CT, Summer Stock Theatre including Mt. Washington Valley Theatre Company in North Conway, NH, and Candlewood Playhouse in Danbury, CT, Dinner Theatre including Darien Dinner Theatre and Westchester Broadway Theatre. Jackie’s conducting experience also includes light opera productions for CT-based Trouper’s Light Opera. Jackie has extensive Church choir experience in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Jackie is active as a conductor, keyboardist, and organist.
Jackie works wells with clients, is happy to provide music guidance for events, and can perform whatever type of music is requested.
