The Giovana Robinson band has been providing Latin music in the tri-state area over the past 10 years for private parties, cocktail hours, weddings, clubs, corporate events, educational settings, and concerts. The group is available in a variety of "combos" from solo up to the full dance band which allows us to be competitive and accessible to a wide range of clients and event types. We play salsa, merengue, Latin jazz, Cuban son, timba, Bolero, Cumbia, Cha-cha-cha, and can tailor our repertoire to client needs. We pride ourselves on professionalism from the booking to the last song. We will be there on time, well dressed, and ready to bring the festive nature of Latin music to your event.
About
Giovana Robinson is a native of Panama who came to the US in 1999 after receiving her bachelors in music education at University in Medellin, Colombia. She came to the US to pursue her passion for performing music and just recently finished recording her debut CD of original music to be released in 2010. Giovana was selected as a vocalist to perform with the Philadelphia Music Project's Latin orchestra led by the legendary Johnny Pacheco and Cuban composer/ pianist Elio Villafranca. Most recently her band was selected to perform for the 2009 Sunoco Welcome America 4th of July event on the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. Previous clients include the Philadelphia Art Museum, Astrazeneca, WHYY, Artreach, Rutgers, UPENN, Villanova U, and the Atwater Kent museum.
