Why hire The Funky Fritters?
What do you get when you mix the horns of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the funk of The Meters and the Jamming of The Grateful Dead? Throw in Dr.John, Gatemouth Brown, Taj Mahal & Professor Longhair and what do you got? One hell-of-a potent mix. We're a powerhouse 11 member band with horns & back up vocals serving up a bowl of funky gumbo filled with a hearty helping of New Orleans, Mardi Gras, Blues, Funk, Rock, Jam, R&B, Jazz and Gospel music. A Funky Fritters show is Mardi Gras every night. Available for clubs, festivals & private parties.
