About

I am available for session recording, corporate and live shows with a focus on drums, hand percussion and vocal harmony. I specialize in classic and modern rock, funk, and country music.

With over 25 years of playing experience, I currently average between 100-110 performances annually with several groups around San Diego County, including: Clay Colton Band, Mickie Arnett Band, Damaged Goods (as a substitute for drummer Korey Kingston), and the Xceptional Music Company's Tribute to Country Rock ensemble and British Invasion ensemble.

Notable accomplishments include: Performances with Jeff Chimenti (Rat Dog/Further) and Matt Hensley (Flogging Molly); opening band for the Spencer Davis Group (Catalina Island, July 2012), Little Texas (Ramona Mainstage, April 2011), The Zac Brown Band (Brick-by-Brick, Feb 2009), Dead Man's Party (July 2007, Belly Up Tavern), and Sara & Sean Watkins (January 2005, Tom Giblin's Irish Pub Tsunami Benefit Concert); Awards include 1st Place Band in the Vieja's Big Country Showdown (Clay Colton Band, 2009) and winner of the Indiana State Concerto Competition (soloist, 1999).

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 240 minutes

Professional equipment, energy and attitude. My focus isn't on bashing the drums and expecting everyone to "fall in line." I prefer to listen to what's going on with each musician and within the arrangement to provide the right grooves and transitions that accentuate each and every song.

Stage/Setup Requirements:
(Drums) A level, playing area at least 6' wide by 6' deep. If outdoors, area should be covered.
(Hand percussion) A level, playing area at least 4' wide by 4' deep. If outdoors, area should be covered.
