On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia, the members and guests of the Villa Park-Orange Christian Women's Club were truly amazed by Alan's musical talent. Apparently, he has played the piano since the age of 10--and yet, he has never taken a piano lesson, nor does he read notes. He truly has a gift from God as a concert pianist...his passion is evident. Tuesday marked the third time Alan has performed at our monthly luncheons...and each time he has blessed all in attendance...not only with his gift of playing the piano, but also with his gift of humor. What an unexpected and entertaining combination! In fact, on Tuesday, he received a standing ovation. We are grateful to Alan for his dedication to his calling in life. We appreciate his friendship, and look forward to another outstanding piano concert during the Christmas holiday season.

Thanks so much, Mary! I actually DID take lessons initially, and didn't want Mrs. Noak to read this and think that she had no influence on me. But it is true that I still can't read music...

Influences
I have every piano album there is of Roger Williams. Living in L.A., I have been able to experience live every jazz and popular pianist of the last three generations, and this is a definite influence in my musical performance.
What to Expect
I play all types of music for all types of audiences...people often play "Name that Tune" during a performance as I try and stump them with my repertoire. I can play background music for parties or restaurants or full-out concert material. I have a lot of energy and passion for what I do, and it shows in the performance.

I can play popular, classic, jazz, easy listening--- I don't really rock- I don't really roll- just being honest here. I have a very relaxing, if not hypnotic style I'm told- and create a perfect mood for any party, restaurant or hotel situation.
