Hi there!
My name's Zach and I'm a queer stand-up comedian, host, and writer whose performed professionally for a decade - but I'm not yet old! My work has appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, New York Magazine, and Vuture, and I was just named one of six TimeOut NY Comics to Watch in 2019 (!!!).
My live performances include a unique blend of stand-up, storytelling, crowdwork, and interactive games. Reach out and we can chat about how to create an interactive, unique evening for you customized to your event (birthday, anniversary, party, retreat, orgy) that will feature stand-up, games, and can adapt to any crowd on the fly.
XOXO
Zach
Zach was awesome, walked a line between straight up laughs and edgy, acerbic wit. The crowd was young and his humor was flirty, queer, damning, loving and rallying all at the same time. Super contemporary, great energy, would highly recommend him.
I asked Zach to help us with our annual 'Scores Cup event', raising money for our after-school programming which brings soccer, poetry and community service learning to school kids living in under resourced neighborhoods across New York City.
Zach did an incredible job keeping our soccer players entertained at the biggest fundraiser of our year. People who were there still talk about his energy and levity six months later.
We had almost 600 people spending their Saturday with us - most of whom worked in the corporate world. So we needed someone like Zach to take the edge off on a hot day filled with competitive soccer games. He also offered logistical help of course which was invaluable. It was the perfect balance and he was the perfect pro. I can't say enough!
John
Response from Zach Zimmerman:
Omg thank you for the kind words, John! I'm so glad to help out with such an amazing event! :)

Hey - I'm gonna give you a high energy, interactive, customized evening of comedy. In short, people will laugh. You'll look like a hero and spend weeks answering, "Where did you find that guy?"
We'll hop on the phone to chat about your event, who's coming, what people have in common, and I'll get back to you with any questions that come up. I always want to check in about rating - I can be blue, but my Mom taught me to do clean comedy, too, if that's your flavor. I can also adapt on the fly.
Then, your work is done. I'll show up, slay, you'll look like a hero, then we'll both go to bed and have amazing dreams.
Whether you need an MC to guide people through the night, or a headliner to come in and do their own show, or a comedy variety show with a number of acts I can tap from my Brooklyn comedy connections, we'll make it happen.
