Yoon-Jin Park

After struggling to find a classically trained cellist who could also improvise and adapt--as my interdisciplinary program needed--I came to Gig Salad not sure I could find what I was seeking. To my delight and relief, I found Yoon who was not only a beautiful player, but an enthusiastic and gifted arranger (as we were working with vocal scores with piano accompaniment and looking to use only cello since the space had no piano). Every request, Yoon was able to deliver and more--and she did so with poise and ease. She was meticulous in preparing for everything, adapted to every request, played sensitively and was super professional throughout. The other musicians and I loved working with her and hope to do so again!

Yoon-Jin was communicative, professional and flexible! She helped make our day perfect; we are truly grateful.

Yoon Jin is a fantastically talented cellist! That’s not why I’m giving 5 stars! My wedding day was during NYC’s worst storms in recent history (9/29/2023). Initially, I was to be married in Central Park but those plans were immediately washed away with the storm. Thankfully, I was staying in a fabulous brownstone in Harlem and decided to pivot. Yoon-Jin was so accommodating and professional. She never cancelled and got to the ceremony. Once she arrived, she was focused on had her musician’s hat on! She played every single song that I discussed with her! She’s incredibly talented and was the talk of my wedding ceremony! Book her, book her, book her! I would recommend Yoon Jin 1000x!
