Yazzy Simons is a vocalist and composer from the San Francisco Bay Area, now based in Denver. They specialize in Bossa Nova, Swing and modern R&B. Yazzy is currently perusing vocal jazz studies at the University of Denver under the guidance of Marion Powers, and performs around Denver with their Brazilian jazz duo, alongside guitarist Kylan Fermin. The pair share a love for the music of Jobim, João Gilberto, and Elis Regina, and bring their own take to both familiar songs and lesser-known gems, focusing on exploring texture and form. The duo is currently recording their debut release, set to be available later this year.

We keep things very easy to set up and work with.

We only need a small space, about 3x4 ft, to perform comfortably.

We can bring our own PA, which is perfect for intimate gatherings and medium-sized rooms. If the event is larger and you already have a sound system or production team in place, we’re happy to connect to that as well.

We don’t need special lighting or staging. A well-lit area with access to power is all we need.

We’re flexible with set lengths and breaks, and can adjust our timing to fit your event schedule.

Our goal is to make things stress free. We’ll arrive early, take care of setup quickly, and work with you or your event coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly.
