What to Expect
I have often been told. That my music has the ability to put audiences into a trance. When I perform, it's more than just hearing a good song. I want you walk away with an experience. Changed somehow....even in the slightest. I use projectors, candles, and multicolored lights to take the viewer on a journey.

With a smoky voice, soul-wrenching lyrics, and sultry melodies, singer/songwriter Xavier Simmons has a way of instantly putting an audience in a trance. The son of legendary rapper DMX, Simmons has nevertheless cut his own unique path with music more influenced by Radiohead, Eminem, Lightnin' Hopkins, and Laura Marling. He considers himself not only a craftsman but a student of the human condition, revealing in his music poignancy far beyond his over two decades of existence. With two feature films under his belt, BELLY (1998) and NEVER DIE ALONE (2004) His highest aspiration is to make great art and share it with the world. He currently resides in Westchester, New York.
