Burlesque as a we know it has been around for 100 years and originally means "satire." However, in the 21st century it is more so associated with dance, theatre and tease, and its goal is to transport the audience to a world made of opulence, luxury and enchantment. As such, it is a great form of entertainment for themed parties (Vegas, Gatsby, Disco) or for celebrations of all types (corporate parties, weddings, anniversaries, etc.).

An act can last anywhere between 3 to 10 minutes and is usually there to energize and excite the audience for the rest of the party. My acts will liven up your crowd, provide a sense of glamour and provide a memorable and unique form of entertainment.

IMPORTANT: It is relevant to note that Burlesque performances traditionally involves striptease that ends climactically with the dancer topless and wearing pasties. If you feel that this is not appropriate for your event but still want to include burlesque, accommodations can be made to avoid scandalizing your audience (not removing the bra at all, removing the bra but not exposing the chest, removing the striptease and involving only prop work). However, regardless of the level of nudity, burlesque is mainly an 18+ form of performance full of sensuality and tease. As such, I do not recommend it for events where children and minors are present.

Born to Colombian parents and based in Montreal, Canada, Winona J. Fox is an award winning burlesque performer who has been gracing the stage since 2021. Self-titled "The Reigning Queen of Mean", Winona brings a unique touch to the industry by showcasing her love of 70s and 80s glamour, which she feels has often been overlooked compared to the glamour of earlier decades. As a child she was fascinated with the Disco Divas of the 70s including Donna Summers, Barbara Streisand and Cheryl Lynn, as well as famous Latina vedettes like Iris Chacon, and embodies their sensual and striking nature through her performances. She was and continues to be inspired by staple 70s experiences including Studio 54, Latin American Salsa and British Punk Rock.Winona was recently the recipient of First Runner Up at the 2024 Montreal Burlesque Festival- she wears her tiara with hometown pride!
