Overview
The West Coast Resonators are a trio performing 30s & 40s Blues, Gospel, Jug Band and original tunes.
The band has been together since 1995, performing primarily in the Santa Cruz, California area. We are seeking gigs in the Sacramento and Sonora area also. Performances can be as short as 45 minutes or up to 4 hours.
We LOVE performing, this isn't our day job!

What to expect
We are a low-key band: No drummer, just the trio. Guitar, Bass and harmonica, sometimes Banjo and slide guitar. We can set up in 30 minutes.
About
The West Coast Resonators were formed in 1995 from a group of musicians that came together for a weekly jam held at Java Bob's coffeehouse in Ben Lomond, California.
Java Bob's promoted a Thursday evening performance slot, which evolved into an open Jam. As the Jam evolved, the band was formed in August of 1996.
The members are: Reid Bourdet on Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and Vocals, Jim Bobisuthi on Harmonica and Vocals, and Mike Dean on Bass, Banjo and vocals.
The music is eclectic: original music composed by Reid, rearrangements of Delta and Chicago-Style blues songs from such bluesmen as Robert Johnson, Billy Ekstein, Earl Hines and The Reverend Gary Davis, as well as old-time folk tunes.
Two CDs are available, “Breakneck Speed” and “Practice Makes Perfect”.
