Wes Guerrier Photography

When I am hired, I want to know and understand the nature of the event, the people who are being celebrated and to fully assess and familiarize with the environment where the images would be captured.
I check for lighting, special details that can highlight the energy of the moment, and focus on capturing the most special moments of the event.

Wes Guerrier discovered his passion for photography in 2014. Since that time his work has been accepted in Smithsonian Magazine's Annual Photo contest for 7 consecutive years, including the current year, 2021.

His work has also been published in the Welter Literary Journal in 2020, their 50th anniversary issue.

He has attended NY Fashion Week for 2 consecutive years (2017, 2018) and also volunteered his services to capture Jose Andre's Dine-n-Dash DC event in 2016.

His professional work has included weddings, sweet 16 parties, private birthday events, corporate events, professional headshots and protraits.

If you were to ask Wes about why he is so passionate about photography, he would say, "It's about capturing the energy of that one moment in time that can never be duplicated!".

It is important for me to get a preview of the environment. Lighting is always critical, and will be discussed during the assessment phase. Each environment may require something different.
