21 year old guitarist Josh Stern founded the polished pop rock group Weekend Cinema circa 2024. For over a year, the band remained in an infancy stage struggling to find an identifiable sound and rhythm, with a revolving door of members.
This all begins to change when bass player Billy Flood enters the group. Flood and Stern develop an undoubtedly chemistry, which sets the bands new tone and puts them on a path to where they are today.
Shortly after, Canadian keyboardist Naveen Sharma is recruited on board, as well as Brooklyn based church drummer Jerm Dargan, each bringing a new level of musical technicality and diverse influences that the group had been missing all along. With the band redefining their DNA, all they needed was two new pieces to complete the vision.
Eventually, guitarist John Maher enters the mix, who unknowingly grew up 15 minutes away from Stern in the same home town of Staten Island. With the bands final lineup taking shape, vocalist T Joyce, hailing from South Boston, comes in and provides the final piece to the puzzle: a charismatic and dominating stage presence and a voice that brought together Sterns initial vision.
