This is not another tribute band....Its a SHOW! Van Walen puts you as close as possible to an early 80's VH concert... No backing tracks, no gimmicks, or common "stage" tricks. We play the music spot on, note for note, without cutting corners to fool the audiences we play for. We spent the money on the EXACT rigs that Van Halen used. Dale Rutter, who enjoyed much success as an award winning actor in LA, moved to southern Florida with a plan to bring the glitz and glam of hollywood, right here to the east coast. A band that goes above and beyond to give you a realistic, fun show. He formed Van Walen, following in the footsteps of bands like, The Atomic Punks, and Steel Panther, who basically rule Hollywood. Any band can throw on a wig and bill themselves a tribute, but we wanted to make everything authentic. All our gear is 100% exact. From Dale's replica of the 1981 Diver Down drum set that Alex played, to the classic Ampeg bass rig that Mr Anthony used on tour. Ben's guitars are NOT store bought! He had each of his four Frankinstrat guitars, designed and hand built by the same makers of Eddies rig. Complete with the custom EVH cabinets and 5150III heads. We found all the actual effects used to give you the true VH, "brown" sound. Each member in this band, has spent years on the road with other bands....playing... working...perfecting their instrument....With only one real goal in mind......TO ONE DAY BRING YOU THEE VAH HALEN EXPERIENCE! Well, the right four guys met...."And we hit the ground runnin!".............

DALE...is a famed actor from LA who has won numerous awards and was a 2011 hall of fame inductee... started playing drums in greensboro NC at age 8...went on to study music at UNCG and play the local circuit with "Native soul", back in the 90's. upon moving to los angeles for a movie career, he met and started studying under Ray Luzier, instructor at M.I. and drummer for David Lee Roth.( He now drums for Korn) It was Ray who taught Dale all of the Alex Van Halen riffs and took his skills to another level...Dale brings high energy and add showmanship to his drumming at all times...
TOMMY...Vocally trained in NYC under seasoned pro Don Lawrence — whose past clients include Jon Bon Jovi, Sebastian Bach, and Axl Rose — frontman Tommy is a veteran of the 80's New Jersey music scene. He was a member of several bands during this popular Hard Rock era, including top-billing original projects, and also opened for national acts including Skid Row, Cinderella, and White Zombie. Tommy fronted one of the very first Aerosmith tribute bands, and has a versatile range that smoothly and effortlessly performs David Lee Roth to the T!!!
STEPHEN...This lean bass playing machine is another Jersey rocker who's made the rounds in the club circuit during the late 80's, which also includes years as a studio session bass player. A few of Stephen's main bass-playing influences are John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin , Michael Anthony of Van Halen and Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, which are clearly evident in his non-stop onstage performance!!!
BEN.....A one of a kind guitar player who studied at the New York University ....growing up with ambitions of being a doctor, he had only one guitar hero he wanted to be like and play like...Mr Eddie Van Halen! Ben played in many bands through college but later quit and only concentrated on that VH sound....with the most extensive collection of Eddies guitars and amps, he has mastered the tone, the riffs, the look, the sound thats second to none...his maticulous attention to the study of Eddie Van Halen is amamzing....
