We are flexible musicians and have a wide range of music to select from to curate our setlist specifically for your event. Here's what you can expect from us as a live music show:
If you're event is mostly geared toward conversation and/or presentation, we'll provide a steady stream of grooves to set an joyful tone and make way for productive and enjoyable conversation. Count on us to provide a comfortable stage for special moments to take place.
If your event features a lot of freedom for your guests to wander and engage in mutliple activities, we'll provide an energetic atmosphere that promotes activity and fun. Allow us to envelop your guests in the moment with danceable music that gets everyone in the mood to make fun memories with others.
If your event is segmented into different parts that each have their own preferred atmosphere, just let us know what your plans are, and we can currate our setlist to fit the vibe of each segment so your guests can immerse themselves in each moment.

Upscale Combo is a group of good friends who love to 1) use our musical expertise to make great music together and 2) bring people together through sharing that music. We are a 5-piece combo consisting of Nathanael Brinson on drumset, Lindsey-Grace Brinson on clarinet and soprano saxophone, Lily Slater on vocals, McKenna Fink on double bass, and Adrian Graves on guitar. We are all alumni from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo and love to be active in the Springfield and Ozark communities.

We have all been good friends for quite a while having met in college, and have loved getting to play with each other in a more intimate setting in Upscale Combo.

We specialize in having fun together in our music making, sharing music that everyone can enjoy, and setting an atmosphere using the music we love to play. We love to experiment with music, taking a different approach to certain songs that have always been played one way or another and adding our own spin to them.

Since we rely on a sound system to project the sound of our vocalist, electric guitar, and double bass, we will need easy access to at least one elecrical outlet. As far as the physical space we will occupy, the absolute minimum area we need for our setup is 75 square feet; the optimal amount of space is at least 120 square feet.
We will provide our own sound system, microphones, cables, extension cords, etc. If your event will already have a sound sysetm set up, let us know and we will let you know whether we'll use the sound system provided or bring our own depending on space, venue, sysetm specifications, etc.
