Trio Bien!

Trio Bien is a collaboration between Jeff Kier – keyboards/composer, Edo Castro-Woodhouse - bassist/composer, and Lanny Grilly - drummer/producer.

The group members have a long history in Jazz and have performed with or shared the stage with such notables as Ahmad Jamal, Mose Allison, Willie Pickens (Elvin Jones), Paul Wertico (Pat Metheny), Henry Johnson (Ramsey Lewis), Chuck Webb (Aretha Franklin), Judy Roberts, Michael Arnopol (Patricia Barber), James Sanders (Chicago Sinfonietta), Fareed Haque (Sting), Nick Drozdoff (Maynard Ferguson), Oscar “Bobo” Brown III, Ed Peterson (Ellis Marsalis) …just to name a few.

Additionally, the members have played nationally at such places: Chicago’s Jazz Showcase, The Lion’s Share (San Francisco), The Desert Inn (Las Vegas), NightTown (Cleveland Heights), Small’s (New York City), and Snug Harbor (New Orleans) – as well as internationally in Paris, Rome, Tel Aviv, Negril, Jamaica, The Jazz Café in Havana Cuba, and Tangier, Morocco.

Their current show combines their indelible melodies and the band’s unique fusion of solid grooves and seductive world-rhythms.
