About

Trinity Colvin’s Biography

Trinity Colvin is a genre-bending vocalist, performer, songwriter, and entertainer
originally from Anchorage, Alaska — where her love for music and performance
started long before she ever stepped onto a major stage. Raised in a deeply
musical family, Trinity grew up singing, dancing, acting, and performing anywhere
she could. From theater productions and talent showcases to national competitions,
the stage quickly became home.
Her artistic journey began with Black Arts North Academy, where she sharpened
her performance skills while singing alongside Gospel and Alaskan artists. Opening
for artists such as Kirk Franklin, David and Tamela Mann, and Kelly Price just to name
a few. As a child performer, she trained with organizations including Alaska Theatre
of Youth and Laura Model & Talent Agency, landing roles such as Sebastian in The
Little Mermaid, Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, and Chester in Bunnicula. By high
school, Trinity had already earned first chair in Alaska’s All-State Choir and
competed nationally in the NAACP ACT-SO competition.
At just 17 years old, Trinity took her talents to an entirely different stage after
being accepted as a lead vocalist for the United States Army Band. Over the next
five years, she traveled and performed Rock, Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Big Band music
while serving in military entertainment ensembles. She completed her training at the
United States Army School of Music before continuing her vocal studies through
Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Arts while stationed overseas in South
Korea.
Since leaving the military entertainment world, Trinity has traveled across the
U.S. performing for weddings, luxury events, and private parties through a national
entertainment company. Her performances have included events for the Girl Scouts
of the USA — and even singing at a private birthday celebration for T-Pain at his
house.
As an independent artist, Trinity released her debut album, #ilikehim,
introducing listeners to her emotional storytelling and fearless personality. Since
then, she’s continued evolving artistically and has officially rebranded into a bold
pop-rock artist blending raw emotion, powerhouse vocals, and unapologetic
energy.
Currently, Trinity is a senior at New Jersey City University pursuing her Bachelor’s
degree in Music Business while also holding certifications in Project Management
and Music Industry Essentials. She is also a proud member of GRAMMY U and was
personally selected to open for Mariah the Scientist in front of a crowd of over 400
people.
Releasing a new song every month, she continues building a world around
vulnerability, confidence, rebellion, femininity, and emotional honesty. Whether she’s
on stage with a live band, writing heartbreak anthems in the studio, or turning
everyday chaos into art, one thing is clear: Trinity isn’t just creating music — she’s
creating an experience.

Influences and inspiration

I often get compared to Lauryn Hill A LOT! I like to think of myself like this: if Hayley Williams and Lauryn Hill had a baby her name would be Trinity (and that would be me)

Growing up, I relied on artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and Janet Jackson on how to truly give an unforgettable performance. These are my influences and I still continue to study the craft to improve every single day.
