Toots & Kin

Toots & Kin is a Philadelphia based band, performing ol’ timey jazz, ragtime blues and gypsy swing from the 1920’s & 30’s. Founded by Erica Daubert and Rab Speese in 2019, Daubert’s soulful and sultry voice is true to the era as Speese’s accompaniment on guitar and banjolele gives new life to melodies that time has long forgotten. With a rotating cast of musicians and instrumentation, each performance is a unique experience.
Performing material from the 1920’s & 30’s, you can expect to hear well known favorites from the era, including the The Boswell Sisters, Bessie Smith, Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, Ruth Etting and more.
