Tommy B & the Deep Blue Sea
Overview
Not strictly an Americana band. Not a cover band. They love being a dance band. The timeless two-guitar attack is complimented by sparkling harmonica playing. The tunes are more personal, more original. Taking their love of bluesy style roots music, they work in elements of ska, rock and funk. There's even some blue-eyed soul. They also bring an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music ranging back to the 50s. Whether it's their acoustic shows or rocking outdoor concerts, they have fun and the crowd goes along for the ride!

What to expect
Experience has taught us how to read a crowd and perform appropriately: are they still eating, are they ready to dance, is it crowded, will it be crowded later? We are able to adjust our set list to what's needed in the moment. In concert settings, we come out in full-on dance groove mode, ready to rock. Coffee-house mode is completely different, obviously. Each venue has it's own character which we respond to fittingly.
About
2009 saw old time partners Gary Neuwirth, harmonica, and Tom Brennan, guitar and vocals, reunited. After more than ten years, multiple band mates, bass players, drummers and guitarists, they are now working in a four piece acoustic group with Jon Falk on guitar and Jim Henry on bass. They have developed three part harmonies, added ska and New Orleans styles to their repertoire.
November 2015 saw the release of "Bald Man Boogaloo," their first CD of original material, which showcases their wide variety of styles, harmonies and musicianship. They continue to develop original songs, always looking for that great groove.
Additional booking notes
We can supply our own backline. For smaller venues, we have our own small PA. Small lights also, if necessary.
