Thriving Outside the Mainstream

I encourage Christian adults to navigate life strategically so they can thrive outside the mainstream. With a focus on Biblical literacy, I motivate folks to pursue holy lives in an unholy world, providing them with many real-life examples of obedience to God.

If you are looking for someone to light a path for you to courageously and intentionally walk through this life so that, when others look at you, they will glorify our Father in heaven, then I can be the answer for your next event.

Many years ago, I discovered many Christian adults were not living like you would think Christians should live. Many were getting divorced, cussing like a sailor, or unwittingly supporting abortion. It made me realize Christians had to do better if they were going to live holy in an unholy world. I know firsthand what it’s like to live outside the mainstream, and this is why I speak to Christian adults. My objective is to motivate Christian adults to navigate life strategically so they can thrive outside the mainstream.

Professionally, I started my career in government relations with a focus on Christian nonprofits. Over the course of 30 years in Biblical home education, more than 20 years in health care sharing (a Christian alternative to conventional health insurance), and many years in nine Christian small groups (five of which I started), I discovered that many Christians desire to teach their children better and to send their health insurance to companies that don’t support abortion.

When I am not speaking, you can find me geeking out on professional baseball—especially the Baltimore Orioles in the American League, or the Atlanta Braves in the National League—or hiking the fields of Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, Georgia, with my wife. She and I have raised five children to adulthood and educated all of them at home. I love talking about other countries and cultures and discussing accents. I have lived in lived and worked in three other countries and visited 15, including the Philippines where one of my sons has been a missionary since 2015.
