The Vivants did such a good job for us at a 50th birthday party for 100 people. They were just so good and everyone loved their music. They were also just the nicest folks and also helped us facilitate the event. I would hire them back for sure!

What to expect
The Vivants bring classic Americana sounds, including originals with a vintage sound and covers from Hank Williams, Bob Willis, Emmylou Harris, the Davis Sisters and Bill Monroe. Our tight 3-part harmonies are a signature sound for the band, bringing soaring bluegrass and country swing styles to get your feet a tapping! We can bring an upbeat, danceable performance to your event or more lowkey - whether we are providing ambiance for a cocktail event or bring a more lively vibe to kick up the heels and get the whole family on the dance floor. Our repetoire includes various styles of Americana music, from classic country, swing and bluegrass. We love to curate sets if you are interested in creating a certain feel for your event. We look forward to working with you and creating great memories.
About
Hailing from San Francisco, The Vivants find their musical faith in the inspiring traditions of Americana music and showmanship. The acoustic quartet recently completed their fourth album, Baby's Back in Town; the album shimmers with western swing, dixieland, gospel and sister-harmonies throughout.
The Vivants include Emily Bonn on lead vocals, guitar, banjo and ukulele, Anna Levitt on fiddle and vocals, James Touzel on upright bass, and vocals, and Kalei Yamanoha on piano accordion.
In former incarnations, bandleader and songwriter Emily Bonn, performed in San Francisco subway stations, Belgian prisons, Appalachian corner stores, and at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. As a former member of the critically acclaimed San Francisco band, The Horseshoes, she shared stages with the legendary rockabilly singer, Wanda Jackson, Old Crow Medicine Show and Devil Makes Three.
