Overview
HI! The Velvosonics out of Charleston are a fun, 8-piece dance band featuring soul and funk hits from the 60s - today. We also play banging original Neo-soul dance songs. We feature Yana Walker on lead vocals, a horn section, and a sparkly light show. The velvosonics are money! Accepting bookings for parties, events, concerts, and nightclubs/ bars.

What to expect
When you experience the Vevlosonics, you will see a stage full of talented people enjoying the best of soul and funky pop music from days gone by. The light show will make it a party, and the groovy beats will just keep coming. You won't hear profanity or annoying, unprofessional noise in between songs. We don't sell merch from the stage or promote our other gigs. The band is always focused on putting on a great show for you and keeping your guests dancing and partying.
About
The Velvosonics met up in 2023 and we've been getting our act together, perfecting the dance grooves and checking the harmonies! We are ready to play out all over the LowCountry and spread the joy to you and your friends!
