::: The Sonoran Dogs is a band made up of seasoned and highly acclaimed musicians who have entertained fans all over the world. They play a wide variety of Bluegrass, Americana and originals with a contemporary flare as well as being well-versed in the traditional and hard driving styles of the genres roots. The Sonoran Dogs will play that special song needed or requests from the audience - in our own Dog style, of course! We travel the US and as far as Australia to bring our style of entertainment to folks who love great music and good times! :::

The Sonoran Dogs really made our event a memorable occasion. The guys are really nice, truly professional, and laid-back as well. They arrived early, set up quickly with no fuss, and went with the flow of the party. Our staging area was probably a little out of the ordinary and they adapted naturally. The music was fun and their sound was perfect. More than a few people told me how much they enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see them again.

August 21, 2022The BEST Bluegrass Band!!!
I booked Sonoran Dogs for my birthday party... oh my goodness, BEYOND AMAZING does not even begin to describe them. They truly were the highlight of the event and everyone raved about the talent, enthusiasm, and overall goodness of the Sonoran Dogs.
They arrived early, set up so efficiently, did the most meticulous sound check until they were certain all instruments (bass, mandolin, guitar, banjo, fiddle), vocal mics and the combined sound was the highest professional recording quality. Superb in every way, and the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
As the guests arrived, we all could not stop dancing and singing and dancing some more. The finale of the 2 hour gig was one of the best renditions of Orange Blossom Special you've ever heard.... and to top it off, Mark the talented mandolin player, while playing, says "Who wants to make a train!" and proceeded to lead the dancers around the dance floor. So much fun.
I'm looking forward to catching them live and listening to both of their CDs over and over again. You should DEFINITELY book Sonoran Dogs.

What to expect
We play Bluegrass / Americana music along with originals and whatever the audience yells out at us...especially if it's a late night! We bring a total professional and fun energy to any event and do so worldwide, having toured the US, Australia, New Zealand and beyond! We will play special songs for that special event...weddings, birthdays and more. We also have a BIG BAND that can add even more energy with the addition of drums, electric guitar, fiddle and pedal steel...even accordion! We also love to try audience requests on the spot...whether we know it or not! We want to have a good time and let that include the audience. We can bring up folks to sing along or even play a tune or two, if they have their instrument available. Turn it up to 11 with The Sonoran Dogs!
About
Formed in 2011, The Sonoran Dogs have exploded upon the bluegrass scene! They have performed and headlined many festivals and concert venues in the Southwestern US, touring as far as Australia, from Melbourne to Brisbane and beyond.
The "Dogs" are made up of seasoned veterans who have come together to enjoy bluegrass music and friendship, often times adding one or more “strays” on fiddle, dobro and even accordion! You can even see them with the BIG band, which includes drums and pedal steel – quite the experience!
With every show, The Sonoran Dogs play with expertise, often
improvising and showcasing original songs, traditional and contemporary music as well as an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Celtic, and Newgrass.
