Overview
::: The Sonoran Dogs is a band made up of seasoned and highly acclaimed musicians who have entertained fans all over the world. They play a wide variety of Bluegrass, Americana and originals with a contemporary flare as well as being well-versed in the traditional and hard driving styles of the genres roots. The Sonoran Dogs will play that special song needed or requests from the audience - in our own Dog style, of course! We travel the US and as far as Australia to bring our style of entertainment to folks who love great music and good times! :::

We booked The Sonoran Dogs for a large (600+) church youth pioneer-themed youth conference here in the valley. They were fantastic! They arrived on time (early even!) for set up, provided exactly what we needed, and made all the difference in our event. Honestly, they "made" the event. You never know how teenagers are going to respond to these types of things, and they thought is was so cool having a live band. My only regret is that the event didn't last longer so we could have heard more from the band. So glad I stumbled upon gigsalad in my search for a band and was able to connect with Sonoran Dogs. I've never planned an event like this or ever booked a band and everything went so smoothly. Thank you!

The guys not only played a great set, but also were friendly, professional and flexible. This was for a corporate event, so had to interrupt a couple of songs for announcements plus they played longer than I originally requested. They were cool about it all.

The Sonoran Dogs performed at our Grand Opening event on Saturday and they were fantastic. The crowd loved them and the music was a perfect accompaniment. We highly recommend this band!

What to Expect
We play Bluegrass / Americana music along with originals and whatever the audience yells out at us...especially if it's a late night! We bring a total professional and fun energy to any event and do so worldwide, having toured the US, Australia, New Zealand and beyond! We will play special songs for that special event...weddings, birthdays and more. We also have a BIG BAND that can add even more energy with the addition of drums, electric guitar, fiddle and pedal steel...even accordion! We also love to try audience requests on the spot...whether we know it or not! We want to have a good time and let that include the audience. We can bring up folks to sing along or even play a tune or two, if they have their instrument available. Turn it up to 11 with The Sonoran Dogs!
About
Formed in 2011, The Sonoran Dogs have exploded upon the bluegrass scene! They have performed and headlined many festivals and concert venues in the Southwestern US, touring as far as Australia, from Melbourne to Brisbane and beyond.
The "Dogs" are made up of seasoned veterans who have come together to enjoy bluegrass music and friendship, often times adding one or more “strays” on fiddle, dobro and even accordion! You can even see them with the BIG band, which includes drums and pedal steel – quite the experience!
With every show, The Sonoran Dogs play with expertise, often
improvising and showcasing original songs, traditional and contemporary music as well as an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Celtic, and Newgrass.

With over 120 years of combined experience and influence, The Sonoran Dogs have a vast array of music to draw from. Traditional / Contemporary Bluegrass is our staple, but we also play New Grass, Acoustic favorites, originals and of course, special requests for that special event.
