Zena Jean and the Dry River Band is capable of performing either acoustically or amplified; our industry-standard sound equipment is capable of supporting events of up to 300 guests and is provided free-of-charge. No power? No problem! Our state of the art portable electric generators are able to support a full 8-piece band for up to 3 hours. We offer several different group configurations to fit every event and budget, and each option is capable of performing every song in our catalogue.

The Dry River Band is San Diego's newest and most up-and-coming authority for all things country! From classic and modern country to bluegrass all the way to blues and classic rock, the Dry River Band is your source for that down-home Southern flavor. Initially formed as a civilian equivalent of Navy Band Southwest's Destroyers Popular Music Group, the Dry River Band has since gone on to win over the hearts of audiences across Southern California with its own unique musical identity. Staffing both former and active duty Navy and Marine Corps bandsmen, the Dry River Band has made it its mission to carry the same patriotism, professionalism, and precision we brought to the service of our country into every event we play. Now, with the inclusion of our new lead singer Zena Jean, the Dry River Band is ready to give you a boot-scootin' good time!

From being raised in her small town in Northern California to now living in San Diego, Zena Jean is a California cowgirl with a deep love for country music and the western way of life. Influenced by her mom and dad's old band, 'Rodeo House', music has been a part of her life since the womb. At just eight years old, Zena had the opportunity to perform on stage with her father, sparking the passion for live music that continues to shape her journey today. She grew up around horses, rodeos, county fairs, and country music, so she found herself drawn to performing anywhere she could. At 15 years old, Zena officially began pursuing music as a career and has continued building her path through acoustic performances, full-band shows, rodeos, and live events across California and beyond. Alongside performing, Zena is currently working on writing and recording original music inspired by her life, experiences, faith, and the people and places that have shaped her along the way. More than anything, she hopes to use her music and platform to glorify God and positively impact the people who hear her story. Rooted in faith, family, and real country music, Zena Jean brings a genuine and down-to-earth presence to every stage she steps on.

Zena Jean and the Dry River Band is a multi-functional group with configurations for every event, from size to demands to budget. All offerings come with our industry-standard live sound equipment free-of-charge, complete with audio engineer and capable of supporting crowds of up to 300. No power? No problem! OPTION A (ACOUSTIC)
Option A is our entirely acoustic group, and is capable of performing with or without amplification. This group ranges from 1 - 6 people, with several vocalists and instruments including Upright Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin, and Dobro. This group is ideal for bluegrass, but is also perfect for smaller events where noise is a constraint.

OPTION B (ELECTRIC)
Option B is our electric band, and requires amplification. This group ranges from 3 - 8 people, with several vocalists and instruments including Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Piano, Electric Bass, and Drums. This group is ideal for country, western, rock and blues, and is excellent for events with large audiences.
