The Sensitive Teacher

I would share my story. I want it to be conducted in a conversational style. I want to tell my story. I would like to allow for questions and answers as well. I would want us to be as open as we possibly can. For children, I wrote a book about bullying, so I would want to come and read the book, tell my story, and allow for questions and answers.

My name is Lori Abney. I am currently a teacher in the Oklahoma City area. I have a passion to help children, especially those who have suffered trauma, especially physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I also desire to help women who are stuck in the cycle. If I can share my story, then maybe women and children will know they are not alone.

I have experience with that. I was abused in every way imaginable until I was the age of 18. I was raped a few times. There was much damage done to my heart and soul as a result.

I want to share my story. I want to encourage children and women to have the courage to heal. I want them to know that they are never alone. I want to share how I came out and how I am beating the cycle of abuse.

I'd love to share at your small groups, schools, organizations and whatever event you are having. Allow me to be a source of encouragement and healing. That is my hearts desire.
