I am currently a teacher in OKC. I would love to share my school stories of students whose lives are changed by relationships with their teachers. I’d like to talk to teachers, students and parents about the importance of relationships.
I would also like to share with women, teenagers and children my journey through Childhood abuse. I want to encourage others that there is a way out. I want to motivate other to get out and re-inforce the #metoo movement. You may hurt, but you are not forgotten. #metoo

What to Expect
I would share my story. I want it to be conducted in a conversational style. I want to tell my story. I would like to allow for questions and answers as well. I would want us to be as open as we possibly can. For children, I wrote a book about bullying, so I would want to come and read the book, tell my story, and allow for questions and answers.
My name is Lori Abney. I am currently a teacher in the Oklahoma City area. I have a passion to help children, especially those who have suffered trauma, especially physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I also desire to help women who are stuck in the cycle. If I can share my story, then maybe women and children will know they are not alone.
I have experience with that. I was abused in every way imaginable until I was the age of 18. I was raped a few times. There was much damage done to my heart and soul as a result.
I want to share my story. I want to encourage children and women to have the courage to heal. I want them to know that they are never alone. I want to share how I came out and how I am beating the cycle of abuse.
I'd love to share at your small groups, schools, organizations and whatever event you are having. Allow me to be a source of encouragement and healing. That is my hearts desire.
