You could say it all started in 1998.
Jessica Leving Siegel, was an imaginative, gap-toothed fifth grader then. And she had just won her first award for a website she’d created from scratch to explain autism to other kids.
It wasn’t a class project: Jessica’s brother, Billy, had been diagnosed with autism a few years prior. She had hated feeling helpless as she watched him struggle among peers who just didn’t get it. But things changed after she created that website. Kids in Billy’s class started asking questions, instead of making assumptions. They started including him, instead of leaving him out when they didn’t understand him. Because of that basic little website, Billy’s whole world changed.
And Jessica's world changed, too. She had always loved writing and photography—but this time it was different. This time, she had told a story that mattered.
A few decades of journalism, marketing, and communications work later, Jessica’s drive to tell stories with a purpose is what eventually led her to create a company dedicated to doing just that. Today, she and a dynamic, hand-selected team of talented creatives are proud to leverage their skills to help innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers harness the power of storytelling to achieve their goals—and tell their own stories.
Together, her agency, Sing Creative Consulting, works with nonprofits looking to ramp up their communications efforts, small businesses trying to stand out in the crowd, and individuals embarking on creative projects—all from the lens of powerful, impactful storytelling.
Why?
Because the right hashtag can create a movement.
Because striking the right chord in a fundraising appeal can save lives.
Because stories... can change the world.
